Feast Of Love (2007) DVDRip Subt

Decription
Bradley (Greg Kinnear) owns a coffee shop in Portland, Oregon called Jitters. He has been married for six years to Kathryn (Selma Blair), a tomboy-type who loves softball. Bradley introduces her, after a game, to his favorite customer, Harry (Morgan Freeman), a professor who is temporarily on leave from his job, due to the death of a child. Harry, a very intuitive and wise man, married to a loving lady (Jane Alexander), sees immediately that Kathryn has eyes for another female softball player. In short order, Kathryn calls it quits with Bradley, leaving him very despondent. However, a beautiful real estate agent named Diana (Radha Mitchell) soon warms his heart again. But, alas, she is having a secret affair with a married man named David (Billy Burke), even though she becomes quite close to Bradley as well. Then, too, Bradley has two young employees, Chloe and Oscar, who soon fall in love and move in together. But, Oscar\'s abusive father, The Bat (Fred Ward, very scary), makes things difficult for them from time to time. In fact, how strong are the chances for happiness among these fine people of Portland? If you saw the trailers, you might think this was a romantic comedy. Not so, not by far. It is a romantic drama with some comic elements but a great deal of in-your-face depressing reality, too. That is not to say it is not worthwhile, for it is, but no one will be humming a tune when he or she exits the theater. All of the principal players are quite good, bringing depth to a story that could be dismissed, at times, as being overly melodramatic. As for the Portland scenery, it is lovely, as are the costumes and camera work. Benton, the director, has not been at the helm of a film for quite some time but he clearly shows he has not lost his touch. On the other hand, this film is rated R and for good reason, as it definitely has some sexually-charged scenes. In brief, if you are drawn to films that include romantic drama and sharp character studies, this movie might do for you. Also, fans of the cast will want to see it, too. But, be forewarned that some tears might fall and that the experience overall will be bittersweet.

Jimmy's girlfriend, Deirdre (Piper Perabo), doesn't think much of this prediction, but with the winter months on the horizon, this notion makes Jimmy a bit nervous. Jimmy's anxieties grow as the weather suddenly conspires against him and his fate begins taking a number of turns for the worst. Can Jimmy somehow escape his fate, or has he been doomed by the fortune teller's words? The first feature film from director Mark Fergus, First Snow received its North American premiere at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival.

Sinopsis:
Rufino tiene 15 años y vive en las calles de la Ciudad de México. Un día, empujado por las circunstancias, Rufino roba dinero de el Ochoa, desatando así la persecusión y el acoso del policía.

SINOPSIS

El planeta se enfrenta a una gran amenaza. Coincidiendo con la peor sequía que se ha vivido, un grupo de malhechores está terminando con todas las reservas de agua que quedan en la Tierra. Los mejores agentes secretos del mundo se reúnen urgentemente, pero ni siquiera cuentan con una pista. Para acabar de empeorar las cosas, el malvado Botijola planea atentar contra esa reunión. Su intención no es otra que convertir la bebida que lleva su nombre en el sustituto del agua. Para ello, intentará también secuestrar al alocado profesor Bacterio y conseguir que trabaje para él. Sin embargo, hay dos cosas con las que Botijola no contaba. Por un lado, Bacterio, antes de ser secuestrado, escondió las piezas de su invento en distintos momentos históricos, utilizando la máquina del tiempo. Por otro lado, hay dos de los agentes internacionales que no han acudido a la reunión saboteada, dos agentes que van a convertirse en la única esperanza del mundo: Mortadelo y Filemón.

Sinopsis

THE WALKER es la historia de Carter Page III, un "acompañante" de la alta sociedad de Washington DC, un "trabajo" que consiste en escoltar a las mujeres de los ricos y poderosos a la opera y cosas similares mientras sus maridos están demasiado ocupados y no quieren ser molestados.

Este "acompañante" tiene tres amistades importantes, todas mujeres de cierta edad, Lynn, Abby y Natalie al mismo tiempo que su pareja, un hombre más joven llamado Emek. Carter y sus amigas se reúnen y juegan a la canasta cada miércoles.

Grindhouse es el nombre de las salas donde, en los años setenta, se proyectaban las clásicas “exploitation”, películas de bajísimo presupuesto en las que el terror, la violencia y el sexo campaban a sus anchas. Tarantino y Rodríguez quieren hacer aquí un homenaje a este tipo de cine y a las salas donde se proyectaba.

“Death Proof”, dirigida por Tarantino, gira en torno a un psicópata de la carretera (Kurt Russell), un asesino en serie que va aniquilando a sus víctimas con su coche. UN FILM SORPRENDENTE CON BUENOS ACTORES

Hacia tiempo que no veia una peli de Michael Keaton y también de Brendan Fraser que estan en este film realmente espléndidos.

Caleo ha elaborado una entretenida historia en la que el mundo de los vendedores en la gran manzana es descrito como implacable y cruel.

Sin alcanzar grandes metas, la peli se deja ver y entretiene. No obstante el final resulta cuanto menos sorprendente y el film de los más interesantes que he visto ultimamente.

A aquellos que admiran a Keaton y Fraser creo que no saldran decepcionados con este film.
